The Sculpture is first created in hard wax which is then encased in a concrete-like ceramic shell.

After the ceramic shell has dried completely, it is placed in a kiln and the wax is burned out -- hence the term, "Lost Wax." Then molten bronze is poured into the shell.

The shell is sandblasted away from the bronze and the piece is cut away and cleaned entirely.

Chemicals are applied to the bronze to create color (Patinas) and the piece is mounted on a base.
